Welcome to Ruspina USA
Ruspina was a city founded by the Roman Empire in Central Eastern Tunisia on the Mediterranean. The Romans discovered that the oil produced from local olives was outstanding. Ruspina, located only sixty miles south of Sicily, soon became one of the major centers of olive oil production for the Roman Empire. Ruspina olive oil was shipped to all corners of the known world.

Today, there are more than six million trees in the Ruspina area producing significant quantities of olive oil. As a matter of fact, Tunisia is the fourth largest producer of olive oil in the world and the first exporter of extra virgin olive oil in the world.

Olive oil has become a global business. Much of the olive oil currently exported to the United States from Italy is repacked Tunisian olive oil. Large Italian companies purchase olive oil in bulk from many different countries, blend it, package it and export it. As such, the point of origin is often misleading, and the quality is rarely uniform.

Ruspina USA olive oil is produced and packaged at its point of origin. It is extracted from the finest select olives of the Ruspina area, and is never blended. This results in a consistently rich and high-quality oil. It is always sweet, fruity, and delicious. It has an authentic and unique flavor and aroma typical to Ruspina olives. This is a classic dipping oil, as well as an elegant, healthful ingredient for dressings, sauces, and all types of everyday cooking.
